✓Step 1.1Face What Broke Your FaithTell the truth about where your faith is right now, notice the symptoms of a broken faith, and remember where it used to be.✓Step 1.2Go Back To Where Your Faith UnraveledBuild a faith timeline — when faith felt good, when it hurt — and circle the moment everything started to change.✓Step 1.3Identify the Wound Underneath the DistanceName the wound under the distance: what happened, and how it shaped the way you see God — and how you believe He sees you.

✓Step 2.1Belief InventoryWrite down everything tied to your beliefs — and the beliefs you were raised on — to see where the strain in your view of God really comes from.✓Step 2.2Identify What You Were Taught to BelieveFind the beliefs that taught you to fear God, map the fear underneath, and write a letter to the version of you who was scared of Him.✓Step 2.3Combat the Lies With TruthHold your beliefs up to Scripture — what’s true, what’s askew — and replace the lies you were taught with the truth of God’s own Word.

✓Step 3.1Why Inviting Him Back Feels TerrifyingGet honest about what inviting God back in feels like, find the belief underneath the fear, and sit with Him even in the doubt.✓Step 3.2Let God’s True Character Release YouRead what Scripture says about how God feels toward you. Describe the God you wish He were — then find the verses that say He already is.✓Step 3.3Take One Small Step Toward HimName what you are and aren’t ready for, and write a simple invitation to God for what you can handle right now.✓Step 3.4Start Praying Small (BAM)Using the BAM method, begin praying honestly to God. Aim for once a day — and if you’re not ready for that yet, He understands.

✓Step 4.1What Made Trust Feel ImpossibleWrite out when you stopped trusting God and why, and what trust would need to look like to feel safe again.✓Step 4.2Redefine Trust With What You’ve LearnedDefine what trusting God means to you now — not what you were taught — and write a trust statement you can stand on in spite of your doubt.✓Step 4.3Free Will vs. God’s WillGo back through your track record. Learn the difference between free will and God’s will, and see that God has never failed you — sin and the ways of the world have.✓Step 4.4Practice Small Acts of TrustHand God one worry each morning this week, then look back and name the grace, peace, and closeness you saw. Read “help me with my unbelief.”

✓Step 5.1What Healing With God Actually Looks LikeCompare what you thought healing was to what it really is. Read Isaiah 61:1-3, release the pressure to be “healed” by a deadline, and remember: God’s goal is always spiritual healing.✓Step 5.2Process the Grief of What Was LostWrite a grief list for what your faith lost, a letter to your pre-break self, and sit with Psalm 34:18 — God is near to the brokenhearted.✓Step 5.3Receive What God Has for You NowNotice where you keep God at arm’s length to protect yourself, and what it looks like to put your arm down. You are worthy of His love — let Him release the guilt.✓Step 5.4Celebrate How Far You’ve ComeLook at where your faith is now, revisit what you wrote in Step 1.1, and write God a letter thanking Him for the shift. Carry one thing forward — and share your testimony.
