This got me thinking about how God is with us. He gives us things when we are down. We don’t always see it or are ready to accept it.

And there’s this huge distinction in the Bible. Letting go of control and giving it to God. AND maintaining self-control.

The short 30 minutes I took to watch trash TV was taking over the reasoning part of my brain and filling it with the need to fight or flight.

At the time, I called this toxic positivity and didn’t want to be around it. But being filled with the Holy Spirit, I see the true intent.

I kept Him at a distance and continued to be lost while resorting to the world’s way of comfort. Would that help? Temporarily.
